I'm not aligned with or compensated by Rethink Autism except intermittent site access for evaluation purposes. I just think it's a wonderful and much-needed resource for the ABA therapy-using segment of the autism community, and want to help them make it even better.
Not really a question, but it would be nice to see them develop some sort of scholarship program- lord knows none of my autism-mommy friends (or I!) could afford $100 a month. It looks really neat though, and I think it will help a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteWhile I can think of a lot of things to do with $100, helping my child tops the list. I have just visited 3 different ABA programs in my hometown, ALL of which would require over $30,000 a year for a 20 hour a week program. Yikes! I would take $100 any day. I think it is a very reasonable and cost-effective option to those of us who feel hopeless to provide what we know is best.
